Noam J. Kritzer

Noam J. Kritzer is Managing Partner for the firm, and the head of Kritzer McPhee’s national Intellectual Property Litigation group. Noam concentrates his practice on litigating complex cases involving intellectual property and technology. Noam directs his approach to litigation individually – each case has its own strategy. Noam believes that ensuring that clients have full knowledge with respect to their Intellectual Property matters is critical for the attorney-client relationship. 

Mr. Kritzer’s decades of experience spans District Courts across the country, Appeals Courts and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Kritzer’s practice includes representing individuals and corporations in bet-the-farm litigation, staunch defense of client systems from infringement, and cases involving complex technologies. His practice also includes representing clients in obtaining asset portfolios from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and United States Copyright Office. Mr. Kritzer’s IP practice also involves counseling clients on the intersection of emerging technologies and IP protection and use. He routinely advises firm clients on a wide range of IP issues, including patent, copyright, trademark and trade secrets, relating to generative AI, NFTs, and the metaverse. Mr. Kritzer also has extensive experience representing clients in the areas of false advertising, deceptive trade practices and consumer class action claims. He advises clients on advertising clearance and challenges, and asset acquisition via sale or merger.

Besides securing assets including patent and trademark portfolios, Mr. Kritzer advises clients with respect to branding, global expansion, and other business-related strategies. Mr. Kritzer is recognized by his clients as an excellent negotiator and is often able to utilize the leverage in his clients’ positions to resolve cases without requiring expensive litigation. Under his leadership, the Kritzer McPhee litigation department has an excellent track record of resolving potentially explosive issues in its clients’ favor in an expeditious and efficient manner.

Mr. Kritzer has represented banks, big four accounting firms, investment firms, mortgage companies, airlines, doctors, dentists, electrical companies, energy and energy distribution companies, filtration companies, fitness companies, healthcare companies, health and hygiene companies, real estate firms, power companies, online and real-world security companies, software companies, telecommunications companies, wireless technology companies, HVAC companies, jewelers, restaurants, wineries, packaging companies, beverage companies, karaoke DJs, writers, publishers, musicians, producers, influencers, NFTs, as well as companies that manufacture/distribute medical devices, exercise devices, gardenware, kitchenware, audio/visual equipment, startup companies and individuals.

Mr. Kritzer maintains strategic partnerships with law firms around the globe. Mr. Kritzer cultivates relationships with domestic law firms to provide support to their clients as well as to provide or receive local counsel services throughout the United States.  Mr. Kritzer maintains relationships with foreign law firms across the globe to provide support for foreign IP issues, and to provide domestic support for their foreign clients’ IP issues.
